From Fall after the tree is dormant (leaves are yellow and/or falling off) through Winter before buds appear. For a safer tree you can Thin or Lace it Out (trim limbs all the way back to the trunk) any time of year to allow the wind to blow through it instead of buffeting against a thick canopy.

We can trim Pine Trees, Cypresses, Scrub Oak, and Eucalyptus Trees all year as long as we do not remove more than a third of the green (although it is recommended not to in extreme heat).

Yes, sometimes we can apply a discount to your job if we are saving significantly on gas and labor for hauling. However, it is not recommended if evergreen wood is infested with bark beetle or borers as it will likely spread to surrounding trees in the neighborhood.

The most common reason is lack of watering deeply enough due to water restrictions and/or evaporation in our hot climate. There can be many other reasons ranging from pests to lack of nutrients, which can be diagnosed by our experienced and licensed estimators for free.
